Santa's Service Industry?

I have to say that personally, I'm a "booh, humbug" sort of person when the topic of Christmas and Santa comes along. In my mind it's nothing more than a Winter Solistice Festival inviting back the sun, or welcoming back the sun, which ever you prefer more. Since I'm a creature of the 21st Century and I know that celebrating doesn't bring back said sun or make it stay I prefer not to celebrate it. But that's just my "personal" feelings on the matter. Having said that I do find myself wondering if "Santa Claus", "Papa Noel" or "Father Christmas" did exist whether he too would enjoy the headache of most of us in the service industries. I.E would he, his army of elves and Mrs Claus find the whole thing as agonising as most of us poor humble store cleaners, store managers, shop assistants and any one who has to follow the general public around like a personal slave? Holidays for us are a mass produced ticket for trash, bad manners and shoplifting. It's only the fat cats who actually own the thriving comercial interests that make any real profit out of them. Holidays for us who clean it up are the dirtiest times of the year, Christmas being a top headliner for grime and filth. Why? Easily answered, most of the Northern Hemisphere is cold and suffers from bad weather, producing wet and regularly muddy footprints. If it isn't rain then it's snow! Dirty footprints become the mark of societies shopping malls everywhere and if that wasn't enough snack food, takeaway food and junk food become shoppers needed resource and the most popular mode of eating whilst shopping for that all-important gift. Leaving behind wrappers, and containers littering floors and trash cans alike. Let's not forget the retails Christmas wrapping services and the masses of ill-formed off cuts and oddly shaped pieces of Christmas decorated wrapping paper. So my question is, would Santa have the same problems? After all, according to popularised myth he has to wrap thousands of gifts for people, and children everywhere. Would Santa and Mrs Claus be conscientious recyclers? Surely a man who wishes the world peace and tranquility would be unable to consciously litter and add to the overstretched landwaste disposal problems, there by adding to the global warning and the eventually destruction of his home? Is there a recycling centre nearby to accommodate the huge amounts of litter that his personal deliveries would produce? As legend tells us, he and his lady wife live in Lapland, Scandinavia, I personally know that Sweden and Norway would be up in riotous arms if they had an inkling that Santa was not abiding by the national laws for recycling and trash disposal. I guess I will never have an answer to this theoretic challenge and I will have to hope that my curiosity can be calmed by knowing that I'll never have an answer. Submitted For Your Approval
