Definition of a Schmuck/Jerk
Lately I've been being a very good friend and supporting a dear friend through some hard times as a relationship ends. As any good girl-friend will tell you, if he hurt you, he IS a schmuck! Whether he's well meaning or a complete tit, if he hurt you or your best friend he is a complete jerk! To be banished from the future romantic fantasies and or scenarios for the rest of eternity, unless he shows up at the front door with a huge bouquet roses, a diamond ring and on his knees, telling you what a huge mistake he's made by hurting you and how he'll never do that again. (I do NOT refer to physical, mental or emotional abusers here!) Anyway, my dear friend begged me to write, yet again, another definition of a -in this case- butt wipe. Thankfully the said gent, yes I'm being kind, has not, nor is likely to read this. I've decided to put my definition here.
DEFINITION OF A SCHMUCK:
The common schmuck/jerk etc, has certain traits.
Commitment Phobic: The usual male schmuck who hurts you or your bestie is unable, for whatever reason, to commit to a REAL relationship. Be that because he's already committed to another, or because he doesn't have the required equipment (ie, the male equipment). This is a common problem and has been commented on in various forms of literature, mostly by women.
Spineless: This can be seen in a number of ways. He's unable to stand up for you and fight for what he wants. He would prefer to be in a relationship with no chance of actual commitment. Ectera etc
Blind: Not literally of course, although I suppose it could happen. I mean he's unable to see the prize he has given up, the one that is broken hearted in front of him. He's opted out of your relationship to chase someone else, or get together with someone else.
Faker: I'm not saying a good guy doesn't hide his imperfections at the beginning. Usually the guy that breaks your heart is the one who can't accept himself, who daren't show you what a scum he is because he knows he IS one. The guy who hasn't realised that he's actually GAY, the guy who didn't tell you that he was MARRIED, the guy who is a PLAYER or the guy who's in love with SOMEONE ELSE.
This is my definition of a schmuck/jerk. I hope that someone reads it and gets some kind of insight into why that person wasn't the REAL DEAL!
