More Emigrating.
So I left you last with complaints... well I guess that's what they were.
The best things about moving to a different country are the reams of experience you get, especially when you do it alone. It's scary but absolutely worth it, if you've got the bottle!
In spain I grew a different side of myself, I became a little louder and lot flirtier and seriously out there. I realised that I was a noisy person with a HUGE personality and a few deep rooted issues. Nothing horrible, just a tendency to get louder the more nervous I am. It's a defence reaction. I also learned about a good wine, and my own sensality as a woman. Very important I'm sure you'll agree. I was only 18 when I arrived in spain and I don't think I'd really hit womanhood. Well, as much as most... really I hadn't realised my own power over men, and that was a SERIOUS break through.
Spain was a serious eye opener to me. I was so different from the typical spanish girls I got plenty of attention. Some unwanted and mildly nerve wracking, but on the whole very flattering and good for the ego! So I left Spain with a great opinion of myself, which I hope wasn't overly large!
Sweden so far has taught me a sense of much needed independence. I'm pretty sure it was always there, it just got lost in six years of cultural reprogramming. In spain every woman needs a man, in sweden like the rest of northern europe, women don't need anything from a man.
I'm glad I moved here, it, like being in Spain, has developed my personality. I do advise that any lonely northern european woman move to Spain, it'll boost your confidence and then you can find a real man in another country. Well, personally spanish men aren't for me!
It's the cultural difference I can't handle with Spanish men, they're far too difficult! Too many momma's boys and not enough REAL men. They need so much manipulating to get them to do anything worth while, no back bone!
Well at least that's my experience! I'm gonna leave it there, no I've insulted a population. Till next time
